Mario Villanueva is an Austin-based artist, creative producer, and cultural programmer working at the intersection of contemporary art, community engagement, and public programming. With over seven years of experience in museums and cultural institutions, including The Contemporary Austin and Mexic-Arte Museum, his work focuses on creating experiences that bring artists and communities together. He has produced exhibitions, performances, and public programs that highlight emerging voices and experimental art practices while reaching thousands of attendees each year. As a queer Latinx artist, Mario’s creative practice explores personal narrative, intimacy, and the emotional landscapes that shape human connection. Through both his artwork and cultural programming, he is committed to building spaces where art, vulnerability, and community can coexist.
